Mduduzi Matukane in the belly of the beast

9 April 2011 – WHEN Mduduzi Matukane appeared, handcuffed to his co-accused Neo Molefe, for the 48th time in the Orlando regional Court last month and was remanded yet again, he put his head on his arms and wept. Carolyn Raphaely writes for the Saturday Star and for the Sunday Argus.

“What must I do?” he  sobbed, “I’ve had enough. I’ve waited for so long. It’s almost five years now with no reprieve. I can’t take it anymore. I want to kill myself.”
