A reporter from Zimbabwe’s The Standard newspaper was part of a group of journalists whom Zimbabwe Prisons Services boss Paradzai Zimondi allowed into the Harare Central Prison a few days ago.

Read the article “Zimbabwe: Tour Demystifies Life in Prison”, in which the reporter describes conditions in the jail. He interviewed foreign inmates who complained of abuse, and also met one man who stands accused of car theft and who has been in remand detention for 15 years.
