New WJP prison show “Jail Break” has huge response from listeners

Kabelo Keogatile, one of the three presenters of new radio show “Jail Break” has reported a huge response from listeners on Thetha FM (100.6) in Orange Farm. The show is aimed at prisoners, ex-inmates and their families and works to give them concrete advice on their rights.

The show was pre-recorded and went out as part of Thetha FM’s “Prisoners’ Corner” last Saturday. The interest from listeners (inside jail and out) showed what a huge need there is for entertaining advice around these issues.

The show is developed as a partnership between WJP and Thetha FM.

Tomorrow’s show (also with guests Balikhazi and Lechelele) will look at how to navigate plea bargains. Tune in on Thetha FM (100.6) from 12 – 3.

Postponements on the podcast

On the podcast this week we have a very tight show on court postponements. Originally broadcast on Thetha FM as part of The Wits Justice Show with guest Thami Manaba from Legal Aid in Vereeniging.

Also is a package from Palesa Manaleng on the multiple postponements of Mthuli Dube and Jubulani Radebe. WJP followed the case for two years and the story is long, sprawling and fascinating.
